Nothing is more important than family. Family members include moms, dads, sisters, aunts, cousins, grandparents, and nieces and nephews. In today’s society, pets are now seen as members of the family and are loved just as much. People all over the world now want the very best for all members of the family, the two-legged and the four-legged kind. How does it look when we do a side-by-side comparison of the human health care system and the animal health care system? Take a look at the difference between wait times when scheduling an appointment and actually seeing a health care provider, the amount of time spent in the exam room with a health care provider, and then finally the cost associated with each visit. After not feeling well for a few days an individual may schedule a doctor’s appointment. They most likely sit through an automated service that sends them through a series of numeric options, before finally speaking with an actual person who schedules an appointmen t. This appointment is to take place fifteen days from the day the phone call was actually made. The average wait time for a human to see a non-emergency physician is eighteen days (Intile, 2014). Although this information varies from location to location, the fact is that there just aren’t enough physicians in comparison to the number of individuals living in each area.
